Our planet is a shelter for an uncountable number of living
creatures, of which the most dangerous are we “Humans”. Gifted with an immense
power of thinking, humans have outscored other creatures and have finished at the
top of the podium for its selfish and devilish desires.
The
three basic human needs are viz., Food, Shelter and Clothing, but after these
basic needs are fulfilled, the rest that all comes thereafter are not needs,
but desires which cannot be fulfilled at any part of life. Just like a drug
addict, who can go to any extent to buy drugs, humans also do go to any extent
to fulfill their desires. One such drug that makes the human blind is
“Religion”. It is opium for the masses. In the name of Religion, masses are
mislead by few goons, who use them as pawns for their own selfish motives. Be
it any religion, people have lost their rational way of thinking and have lost
their vigour to fearlessly question the wrongdoings. In the name of Religion,
millions are being butchered, raped and beheaded, with the human body been
considered as mere chunks of flesh. Blood has become an energy drink for these
butchers and they are spilling it over in every land, thus turning the land
red. Rotten flesh and dried blood stains are routine scenes in these lands. Men
have lost their conscience and solemnity, Women have lost their freedom and
pristinity and Children have lost their childhood and innocence. Guns, Grenades
and Swords are speaking in place of humanitarian lessons. Battlegrounds have
become the new classrooms for children, with e-learning facilities through
online beheading lessons. Anarchism has crept into the society evident from the
current mayhem in the world.
The
recent insurgent Islamic State have shook the world, especially the West, from
its very foundation and are left bewildered with its mass recruit. With the
major share of recruits from the West, these countries have been tightly
slapped on their faces by their own people. But the question here is, Who allowed
them to grow to such a level?? Who are sponsoring them?? Why can’t they be
stopped?? Are they invincible?? All these questions are lingering my mind. Are
they getting support from the very people, who are giving indefinite speeches
on how to counter terrorism and acting as wise men in front of us? Day after
day, videod beheadings are going live, with the so called wise men or the
countries, which are pretending to be run by a group of wise men, doing nothing
against it. Had the countries like Syria
been oil rich like Iraq, these wise men might have acted much earlier than
expected in the fake name of counter terrorist operation. In the name of
Religion, Are the claims made by ISIS related to Islam, or are these just to
instigate hatred inside the hearts of the “opium addicted masses” and in this
way paving way for their selfish motives?
If the authorities know that the recruits from the West are travelling
to Turkey and thereafter illegally migrating to Syria, why are they not acting
accordingly to curb such a flow? The outflux of recruits from the West has been
alarming, but the authorities are sitting with their hands tied and mouth open.
Our
national scene is also not so good. Minor riot incidents are becoming daily
news for the media. The most recent and prominent was the 2013 Muzaffarnagar
riots. In the name of Religion, many were massacred, with the indigenous wise
men provoking and sitting like scavengers inside the gallery. Rise of
fundamentalist forces over the last decade has led to this pandemonium. With
the opium been injected into the veins of the masses, these senseless masses
are untied into the open battlegrounds, with the maximum affected being women
and children. Hatred posts in social sites, public gatherings and the uprisal
of Godmen make the breeding of religious tensions easier. In a land, where
millions are not even getting the three basic needs, a few thousands are making
crooked moves for their desires. This whole game of chess is being watched by
impotent authorities, who are trying to settle off all the cases by somehow
making anyone culprit and closing the case file.
People have forgotten the “Holy Hell” and are back to square
one preaching the living gods. The World which has been ruined twice by the two
World Wars, in the name of power and supremacy, is slowly heading towards a
third World War, in the name of Religion. Rationality has been lost with the
growing impotency. Sometimes I feel that “why the Apes evolved into Humans?” It
was better, if the humans were not there and early man was living to just to fulfill
his need for food. Be it the 1947 riots,
or the 1984 Sikh riots, or the Gujarat riots, or the Kandhamal killings, or the
Muzaffarnagar riots, all have happened in the name of Religion. More the
bifurcation more is the structure fragile. More the number of religions more
will be the differences. So, why can’t we all stand united and preach a single
religion called “Humanity” and proudly say that “We all are united, in the name
of HUMANITY”.
